LOCAL MISSIONS

The vision of our church is global and local - at the same time.  We call our local missions Love and Serve.  We are intentional about sharing the love of God by loving and serving those internationally as well as right in our city -  Charlottesville.  What is local missions, you may ask?  Local Missions are service opportunities in your own backyard. A passion for missions doesn’t have to take you overseas; through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can serve as a witness for Jesus Christ in your hometown and surrounding areas.  Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and even to the remotest part of the earth.”  The Great Commission is all encompassing, sending some to foreign missions, but challenging many of us to serve as missionaries right here at home – locally.

Volunteering at Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a way to support your community.  The shift will be 3 hours per person.

Support Petals of Hope International by donating basic school supplies (pencils, erasers, small white boards, markers, etc.) to be delivered to Liberia in December.  Please leave all donations at the Love & Serve booth located in our lobby.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES

The men of FCCI will be assisting the staff at the Ronald McDonald house with the clean up of their property.
